The Hobbs Public Library (HPL) encourages everyone to have a library card. A variety of card types are available in an effort to provide the wide variety of needs of the Hobbs community.
Hobbs and Lea County residents with a government issued photo ID and proof of address receive full privilege cards. Other card types are available for temporary residents, residents of Gaines County Texas and teens.
Library Card Features:Library cards expire annually or every other year to enable staff to update contact information. Be prepared to show your government issued ID, proof of address and provide updates.
Renewing Your Card:Hobbs Public Library items can be checked out from, and returned to, any ELIN location. Items belonging to other ELIN libraries can be returned to HPL.
